Lena could win Gold
Is Lena Schoeneborn going to be the first German Olympic Champion since 1936 - it really looks like it. I just saw the riding on TV, very exciting. She is in the lead now by approximately 20 seconds. Lena you are so great!!!

With an impressive performance Lena Schoeneborn (GER) is in the lead after the 2nd event the fencing at 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Starting with a 177 in shooting she won the one touch fencing competition with 1072 points, 28 victories, 7 defeats - GREAT!!!
Now she is leading with 60 points already! Knowing that her swimming and running is very strong we keep our fingers crossed for a good ride !!! Go Lena, make it, become the second German Olympic Champion !!!
Andrey Moiseev did it again !!!! - Gold Medal for the 2004 Olympic Champion also in Beijing. Edvinas Krungolczas and Andrej Zadneprovskis came 2nd and 3rd.
Impressive Steffen Gebhardt from Bensheim with his fifth place, making it the best result for a German since the Olympic Gold Medal of 1936 Games in Berlin. Eric was 6th in 2004 with a great performance, becoming 16th now. Still a fantastic result. Unfortunately his horse wasnt too good. You could clearly see it on TV how much he worked on it, being a very good rider himself...
After foru events Andrey Moiseev (CHN) is 14 seconds in the lead to Zhenhua Quan (CHN). Another 13 seconds later Edwinas Krungolczas (LIT) starts off - the German Steffen Gebhardt with 55 seconds starting time 23 seconds away from a medal - crazy!!!!
We keep our fingers crossed. Steffen can run fast, that is what he has run in 2007 World Championships where he has beaten Andrejus Zadnesprovskis as well in the run. The Lituanian starts off with him together is is well known as a fast runner. It is going to be a very exciting race!!!
Since German TV is not showing something we have to stick to the UIPM blog and ESPN news.
Steffen started with a good 183 in shooting and Eric with 172 which is also good for him.
